All you need to do as an individual, as a community group and other groups in backing up community and national protest action:

PRIORITY MARCH, APRIL, MAY:

* Dydd  Gŵyl Dewi:  ‘Cross/Fence Action’ on Stryveland (Mynydd y Betws). See Cymru'n Codi 2012 Blog Link Below.

Above will work well as an 'Autonomous Action' for a number of reasons. In the first instance, you may have other GŵylDydd Dewi Day events to go to but would like to carry out some action on Mynydd y Betws. Plus, there is such a big area of fences and roads to cover (stick to roads side poster protest work if not wanting to walk wet highlands) and it is best that as much as possible is targeted and that we do not tip off the Windmill Company where protest action will be carried out. We do not expect people to travel from far away for this action on Stryveland/Mynydd y Betws at this time, so carry out similar Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Day Action closer to home.

What is Cross/Fence Action?  Prepare your weatherproof protest placards or posters with appropriate slogans on to attach to fences surrounding the windmill plantation site and to their signs and to nearby roads. This can be carried out by individuals or by groups, as Mao Tse Tung once said…”Let a thousand flowers bloom”.

If in Cardiff for Dydd Gŵyl Dewi parade, take a trip to Renewables UKCymru office in Cathedral Road to stick up a poster or/and have words with them.

* EASTER; Need as many people as possible to walk Mynydd y Betws along three public rights of Way, the Gower, Cistercian and St Illtyd's Ways. The Objective, to see if the the Robber Barons have fenced off these Public Rights of Way, if so, for how long or, ar they to be closed off forever? Before we can effectively carry out further protest action, such as, pull down the fences  and 'trespass' on what should be… “Cymric Common Land with Right of Way” as part of an associated Land and Liberty Campaign to draw attention to Cheque Book Conquest, we need Info, so there’s a need for people to deliberately ‘probe’ the pathways and adopt this 'Right of Way' Protest Action. This is ideal for 'Hosts of Rebecca' style action, if you get my drift; an opportunity for dramatic reenactments? To carry such out at Easter, may be a family, Community or Society affair - have a nice day out exploring Mynydd Y Betws. Loads of Info in Cymru'n Codi 2012 blog and much further info on the web re these pathways.

BELTAIN BASH – 2ND MAY:  'All Day National' Placard Picket Protest' at RenewablesUKcymru Confrence, see links below and on web. We need to motivate as many as possible to participate in this if we are to drive the message home!
Further, note: If enough people do contact us beforehand to voice their interest, we will hold a preliminary meeting following the picket - and on the same day in Caerdydd to discuss the setting up of a National 'Movement' or rather, a 'National Platform' to operate as a 'WINDMILL WATCH WALES' (see Rhuo'r Ddraig link). The “why” and “how”, along with suggested strategies, will be discussed at the meeting at a location that will be revealed during the Picket Action.

1 - 3 JUNE PROTEST ACTION: against Forestry Commisssion at Nant yr Arian - who are collaborating with Windmill Masters to establish the Mynydd Pumlumon Windmill Plantation. (see Gwerin Owain Blog/Fortress Glyndŵr) A conference will be set up on the Saurday to officially set up WINDMILL WATCH WALES and a rally will be held at the Hyddgen memorial (by the Nant y Moch reservoir) on the Sunday to launch WINDMILL WATCH WALES and to issue a public declaration in regards to the aims of the newly formed national platform which will then be responsible for coordinating and administrating the National Campaign to safeguard our nation from any proposed Windmill plantations.

JUNE 'JUBILEE JAMBOREE' WEEK 1 - 7 - Autonomous Local Community Campaigns but, as many people as possible to back up the 'Occupy The Mountain' - Mynydd y Betws Campaign over the 8 - 10 June 2012 – This will be the most historic event since the campaign to save Capel Celyn. How could any true patriot fail Wales and not participate?

THE 'BETWS BARRICADE' - SOFT OPTION:

Many of you must be scared out of your wits with my talk of a 'Betws Barricade', actually there are two options which will be voted on at March Assembly area approached from the Amnmanford/Betws side prior to the march to Penlle'r Gaer.


The march to the remains of the Castle passes two entrances to the Windfarm Plantation and one to the Windfarm Hub:

 Before we reach this entrance to the main Windfarm location, we will pass entrance to the Hub:



Option One:

Much depends on how many of us there are and if up for a Symbolic Sitdown at entrances or at least one entrance, inspired by:


I guess if Plaid Cymru can do it we can as long as there is more than just the 'Magnificent Seven'.

or Option 2: 

As we march past we leave token items to indicade a symbolic 'Betws Barricade' across entrance and then foto and film the workers pull them out so they can carry on working: Thus the Option 2 Betws Barricade:


Above Made of Wood about 12 X 5, painted and varnised, I have done four so far but will need many more, you may do designs to suit yourselves as 'Tafod y Ddraig' or 'White Eagle Cross', whatever? so go ahead make some as no matter if option one is voted on, the above can still be used.
